So you have booked as a new patient at Surbiton Chiropractic Centre. Firstly, thankyou for putting your trust in us to get you better. You have booked with a highly qualified team that will be dedicated to getting you better as soon as possible.
You will be sent reminders for your appointment through text messages and email, I know these can seem a bit over the top at times, however, Matt our clinic director bases this on how many reminders he requires for every appointment he has, unfortunately this is a lot!
The parking around the clinic can be a bit hit and miss, sometimes you will pull up and there are spaces everywhere and the next time you will be a ten minute walk away. Unfortunately we have no control over this, so we recommend coming a bit early and chatting to one of our great reception team, they will also get a few more details from you to complete your file.
On your initial appointment you will be asked a lot of questions, some of which will not seem that relevant. Believe me this is not just because we want to dive deep into your personal life for the fun of it. In order for us to get to the root cause of an issue a proper in depth history is essential, a lot of the time this is just as important as the physical examination, which funnily enough comes next.
This will involve lots of lovely tests including some which may seem a bit strange, these are done to see which parts of your body are working well and which parts are not working quite as well. This with the history we have already taken will form the basis of our diagnosis.
Next we will have a chat to let you know about our findings and what we think is going on, we will then let you know the plan that we are going to follow to put you back together again.
Last but not least, treatment. We will generally treat you on the first visit as well, as long as we believe our care is the right thing for you and we don’t require any further testing it’s time to get you on the road to recovery.
If you have quite a complex case sometimes we won’t treat on the first visit, this gives us time to assess our findings further and work on the correct plan of action to get you pain free once again.
